Where is studio located?
Studio is located in SS15, Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. Exact location will be provided to the person who has made a confirmed booking.

Why is studio address not listed in page or website?
This is to protect people/customers who come to studio for shoots. We have encountered stalkers waiting in front of studio and would not leave. We are only open by appointment.

How much for this theme?
All our theme are same priced.
Rm80/hour for Hobbyist (Using one(1) theme only).
Complimentary 1 hour before and 1 hour after to use changing room to prepare and costume change.
Rm120/hour for Professional (Using one(1) theme only)
Complimentary 1 hour before and 1 hour after to use changing room to prepare and costume change.
Rm500/hour for Commercial (All themes can be used)
Complimentary 2 hours before and 2 hours after to use changing room to prepare and costume change. Photographers can setup or pack up within the complimentary hours.

What is the difference between Hobbyist and Professional category?
Hobbyist category is for people who are doing it as a hobby, personal online posting and not planning to sell the photos.
Professional category is for people who are doing modelling/cosplaying professionally, which includes but not limited to physical merchandise*, digital merchandise*, marketing and promoting oneself.
Once you start selling/marketing/boothing/guesting/become part of or fully involved in organizing an event/cafe, you will automatically be categorized as a Professional regardless if you are using photos from any studio or outdoor shoots.
However, if you wish to convert back to hobbyist, you will have to wait 12 months from the last day you booth/guest/run the event/cafe. (Please provide proof to facilitate this process.)
*Physical merchandise includes posters, bunting, photo book, etc.
*Digital merchandise includes patreon, kofi, only fans, gank, etc. Including but not limited to any monetary transaction, eg. donation.
*Non merchandise includes non-profit items, stand alone giveaway, coscard.

What time does the studio open or close?
Official time is 9.00am-9.00pm. If you require to shoot earlier or later, you may message us to request for special arrangement. Please note that we may reject your booking if we are unable to accommodate your date and time.
For Hobbyist category, first booking of the day can only start at 10am and last booking of the day must end at 8pm.

Does studio have lift/elevator?
Yes, studio has lift. However, lift opens at 7am and closes at 8pm. If you book before or after this timing, you will need to use the stairs.
​
What is the minimum booking hours?
The minimum booking hour is 1 hour and increment by 1 hour. 15, 30, 45 minutes increment or extension is not allowed. Booking 1 hour and 30 minutes will automatically be rounded up to 2 hours.

Can I extend on the spot?
We do allow extension on the spot however we do not recommend it as it is subjected to availability of the theme you're using, availability of studio staff and manager and the capacity of the studio. It is better that you book extra time in advance especially if it is your first time.
* Minimum extension time is 1hr.

Can we come up and have a look at the studio?
We do charge a recce fee of RM100/hour. However if you do book with us, we will rebate the RM100 from your final rental fees. Only valid for bookings 1 month from recce date. Recce is subjected to availability.

Once we receive your full details, we will provide you with bank details and you will need to bank in within 24 hours. Send us a bank in screen shot after making payment.

We will send you booking confirmation, studio's full address, SOP, parking details, rules and regulations.

Why do we need to provide name list?
1. There are some people who are blacklisted and suspended from studio due to sexual harassment, disturbing other groups, breaking studio property, permanently and purposely removing items from studio, etc.
2. We have encountered stalkers who came into studio and pretend to be close friends with the person who booked.
3. Although we know some people are best friends, but some groups still want to keep their shoot private/secret.

Can I book and cancel my booking? Is there any penalties?
Yes. You may cancel your booking and request for a full refund. All refunds will be made 30-90 days from the request date. Please refer to Rules and Regulations for more details.
​
Why do we need to wait 30-90 days for refund?
There are some companies that will take a non-refundable deposit or they will totally forfeit amount paid. But Studio14's case, we will make a full refund, the penalty is the time taken for the whole process.

Why is there a rescheduling fees?
This is to avoid people from rescheduling every few days and doing last minute rescheduling for peak period slots during weekends and public holidays. Please refer to Rules and Regulations for more details.

I want to upgrade my shoot from hobbyist to professional after my shoot, because I suddenly feel I want to sell my photos.
All you have to do is inform us and pay RM150 as stated in our price list.
​
What is “in between” period? (Hobby and Professional category only.)
In between period refers to the period of time when you are in studio but not having any shoot or having a break between shoots. For example "change in makeup, costume or wardrobe", "lunch/dinner break" or "just breaking before next shoot".
As long as you are in studio (including your belongings), in between shoots, we charge RM60/hour.
The complimentary 1 hour before your shoot, only applies for your first shoot. And the complimentary 1 hour after your shoot, only applies for your last shoot.

Can the "in between" period be waived? (Hobby and Professional category only.)
Bookings of 3 hours and and above, will receive a complimentary 1 hour break in between shoots. This complimentary 1 hour break cannot be split and must be schedule when you are making your booking.
For example:
1-3pm 102 Vintage theme.
3-4pm Costume change.
4-5pm 101 Library theme.
or
1-2pm 101 Library theme.
2-3pm Costume change.
3-5pm 102 Vintage theme.

What type of lighting equipment do you provide?
All hobbyist and professional category, you will be provided with one(1) Godox SL60, one(1) SuteFoto P100, and one(1) lantern modifier.
You may bring your own battery operated lighting equipments and you can freely use our light stands.
For commercial category, you will be provided with two(2) Godox SL60, two(2) Godox SL200ii and two(2) SuteFoto P100.

Why can’t we use the electricity plug in studio?
Previously, a photographer modify his lighting equipment and short circuit the whole studio. Some of studio's equipment was burnt and damaged in that incident.
If you still insist to use, we will ask you to fill the form agreeing to pay the full amount for repair damages and the number of days we are unable to operate resulting from any mishaps.

Why can’t we use our own smoke machine?
Some photographers make their own fog juice using unknown liquid. Some even use vape juice mixed with unknown substances. It left models and other people who are shooting in the same room feel dizzy and nausea. And everything in the room was sticky after shoot. You can rent our smoke machine at RM20/session.

Do you provide makeup, clothing/costume, photographer and accessories?
Studio14 only provide the theme and related props for shooting. We neither provide makeup, clothing/costume nor photographer.
​
What is Reset fee? Do I really need to pay it?
A reset fee will be charged if you did not reset the theme to its original state within your shooting time after using. Reset fee is RM50 per theme per session.
If you wish for us to reset, please indicate in your booking and add it into the payment. We will step in 10 minutes before your session ends to reset the theme.
Can I bring food for my shoot?
Please let us know in your booking if you are bringing any kind of food so that we can prepare cloths, tissue or wet tissues for you in case of any emergencies.
Light foods as props are allowed for shooting in all themes except in themes with carpet or tatami. For example, Japanese theme and S-Room theme.
If you want to use wet food stuff, you will be charged RM200.
Light food includes:
Cake, Cookies, Onigiri, Bread.
Wet food includes:
Anything with soup or gravy, Deep Fried or stir fried stuff.

Can I come earlier for my shoot to prepare?
For Hobbyist and Professional category, you will be allowed into studio 1 hour before your shooting time to touch up or put on your costume. You will also get 1 hour after your shooting time to change your costume. However, you will only be allowed into your shooting theme at your shooting time. This 1 hour before and after your shooting time is complimentary and cannot be exchanged for shooting time.
For Commercial category, you will be allowed into studio 2 hours before your shooting time for makeup, costume change and equipment setup. You will also get 2 hours after your shooting time to change your costume and pack your equipments.

Do you have this prop ________________ ?
You can always msg us before hand to ask if we have it or if it is available. Sometimes we tend to swap props into other themes when making new themes. Small props are priced at RM1/prop and large props are priced at RM50/prop.

What is considered Large props?
Large props include but not limited to
Bath tub, table, sofa, bed, cabinet, cupboard, large crystal, throne, fireplace, Japanese panels, barrel, white boxes, tree, etc
*Any other things that require 2 people to move

I want to use props from other themes for my shoot, what can I do?
Do let us know while you are making your booking.
If you are lucky and there is no booking in the other theme, you may use it by paying RM1/prop for small props and RM50/prop for large props. Please return to its original place after use.
If you do not want to depend on luck, you really need it for your shoot, you can book the other theme at our lowest price of RM80/hour(Hobbyist category) and you can use any props inside the theme. Please return to its original place after use.
I would like to have a custom theme and custom props, how can I do that?
Custom theme and props are subjected to availability and pricing. The simplest custom theme starts from RM100.
Rules and Regulations
1. Agreeing to All Rules and Regulations
- By making a booking, you automatically agree and will abide to all the rules and regulation mentioned below.
- You will also agree not to threaten, intimidate or blackmail studio staff when warning is given.
- If you receive an immediate suspension, you also agree to leave the studio immediately when asked to.

2. Standard NOs
- Strictly no smoking or vaping inside studio or inside the whole premise of Subang Square. The whole building is equipped with smoke detectors. Please smoke or vape at designated areas only. (Fine will be paid by person who made the booking and immediate suspension will be applied).
- Strictly no verbal arguments or physical fights or shouting (Immediate suspension will be applied).
- Strictly no eating in studio. Please do not request for cutlery, plates or bowls. (Please refer to FAQ for food stuff questions)
- No foul language in any language or dialect.
- No pets, animals, powder, baby oil or any kind of oily liquid, feather, confetti, fire, or explosive materials allowed in studio (Please do not bring it in).
- No splashing of water or using of soap/bubbles (blown or gun) during shoot.
- Don’t make a mess in shooting theme, changing room or waiting area.
- No sticking of tapes on walls without approval.

3. Standard YES
-Take care of your belongings. Don’t put your camera, lens, handphone on the floor.
- Keep studio clean and tidy.
- Keep tables and mirrors clean from makeup, hot glue or super glue 502.
- Throw stray wig hairs into dustbins provided (Don’t throw on the floor).
- Mind your behaviour, the premise is equipped with CCTV.
- Book extra time. You will need it.

4. Changing Room
- You can arrive 1 hour earlier before your shooting time to use the changing room. You can also use the changing room for 1 hour after your shooting time. But please use the changing room quickly so that others will also have a chance to use it.
- Changing room is for changing or touch up purposes only. Only people who require to change or touch up is allowed in the room.
- You are only allocated 1 table slot and 1 chair per cosplayer/model. Do not put your belongings on other table slots and chair.
- Please pack your belongings neatly before going for your shoot. There might be other people using the room while you are shooting.
- Do not leave expensive items in the room when you are not around (Studio14 will not be responsible for any missing items).
- No waiting in changing room.
- Strictly NO photography, videography, selfie/wefie or tiktok in the changing room. Please respect privacy of other users.

5. Cosplay Shoes
- No shoes are allowed in studio until you are in your shooting theme.
- If you are wearing your cosplay shoe from outside, please remove it before coming into the studio. A limited amount of wet tissue will be provided for you to clean your shoes.
- Make sure your cosplay shoes are clean and with proper padding.
- Shoes in bad condition like cracking, breaking apart, leather peeling off are not allowed to be used. You will be asked to stop immediately to rectify the problem.

6. Props Rental
- All props within the theme are free to use.
- All props at the props cabinet cost RM1 per prop on first come first serve basis.
- You may take props from other themes at RM1 per prop (require approval from studio manager and provided that the other theme is not booked during your session).
- All large props (anything that requires 2 people to move, eg. sofa, bathtub, fireplace, tables, etc) from other themes is RM50 per prop.
- Taking props without payment or not putting back to its original place will result in automatic suspension. - DO NOT PLAY WITH THE PROPS, THEY ARE TO BE USED FOR PHOTOGRAPHY PURPOSES ONLY. THEY ARE NOT FOR OUTSIDE STUDIO USE.
7. Reschedule Fee
- A reschedule fee of RM100 will be imposed on any confirmed shoot that requires rescheduling.
- It is better for you to cancel your booking, request for a refund and then make a new booking.

8. Booking Cancelation
- You may cancel your booking and request for a full refund. All refunds will be made 30-90 days from the request date. (Please refer to FAQ for cancellation questions).
- 1st Cancelation 30 days. 2nd Cancelation 60 days. 3rd Cancelation 90 days. 4th Cancelation and above will be reviewed on a case to case basis.
_ You MAY NOT cancel your booking 24 hours before your shoot but you may reschedule your booking to a future date subjected to additional scheduling fees. You will need to inform us of a rescheduled date 72 hours after rescheduling and pay the rescheduling fee within 24 hours after confirming. Failure to do so will result in a forfeit.

9. In between time
- In cases that requires a "change in makeup, costume or wardrobe", "lunch/dinner break" or "just breaking before next shoot", we will charge our minimum fee of RM60/hour.
- Bookings of 3 hours and and above, will receive a complimentary 1 hour break in between shoots. This complimentary 1 hour break cannot be split and must be schedule when you are making your booking.

10. Reset Fee / Cleaning Fee
- A reset fee will be charged if you did not reset 80% of the theme to its original state. - Reset fee is RM50 per theme per session.
- Please pay your past reset fee before making a new booking.
- If you wish for us to reset, please indicate in your booking and add it into the payment.
- We will step in once your booking slot ends to reset.

11. No Roaming
- You may not roam around the studio or go into any room without the knowledge of the studio manager.
- Reason for this rule: Having a friend in the next theme, does not mean you are allowed to go into that theme unless you have been registered when the booking was made.
- Even if there is nobody else shooting in studio, it does not give you the authority to go into other themes, rooms, storeroom and open all drawers and cabinet.

12. Report Damages
- Please report any damages or broken stuff to the studio manager immediately.
- Leaving without informing will result in an automatic suspension.
- We understand that accidents happen but please take ownership.
- We can always fix it before the next booking if we know about it earlier.
- However if it is unfixable, you will be required to pay the full price of the prop before your next booking.

13. Use Proper ladder
- Chairs and sofa are not ladders.
- Please use proper step ladders if you wish to shoot from higher angle.
- Reason for this rule: We had pay an enormous amount to repair an antique chair because a photographer was lazy to use a proper ladder.
​
14. No Slandering
- Please keep any slandering or bad mouthing of Studio14 to yourself.
- You may give constructive criticism but not pure slandering.
​
15. Unfit to Follow Rules
- On the discretion of the studio manager, anytime you are deem unfit to follow the rules and regulation, you will be given a warning and immediate suspension.

16. Suspension
- Any serious offenders of our rules and regulation will be placed in our suspension list.
- People on this list will not be allowed to enter the studio.
- This list will not be made public and we won’t disclose reason for suspension
- Why is the suspension necessary? From our previous experience, warnings are useless and offenders continue to create a lot of unnecessary and unrecoverable problems for the studio. In the long run it not only affect us but also affects future users who are responsible.
-You can unsuspend yourself for 2 times. After which, will be a permanent ban.
You need:
1. A guarantor with good record (subject to our approval).
2. Make a deposit of RM200 for a 5 shoot probation period.
If there are no rules being broken within that period, you will be removed from the suspension list and your deposit will be refunded.
However if you break any rules again within that period, you and your guarantor will be suspended.
For the second time, You need:
1. Find another guarantor with good record.
2. Top up your deposit to RM500 for a 10 shoot probation period.
If there are no rules being broken within that period, you will be removed from the suspension and your deposit will be refunded.
- However if you break any rules again, you will get a permanent ban and your 2nd guarantor will be suspended.
- Guarantor must have done at least 10 shoots in studio in the last 12 months and have good track record.

17. PARCEL & COURIER SERVICE
- Please do not unbox your new parcel in studio, then leave them here. It contains a lot of personal information like real name, address and phone number. Stalkers might call you or even wait for you at home.
- Please do not send any parcels to studio and expect us to wait for it. Vice versa, we will not courier your belongings back to you.
- You may only send parcels to studio, if you are in studio to receive it. We will not receive any parcels on your behalf.

18. COVID SOP
- All members are fully vaccinated and clear from Covid.
- All members are wearing mask properly at all time. (Cosplayer/Model are allowed to remove in the theme while shooting)
- If anyone is feeling unwell prior to your booking time, please inform and cancel your booking.
